This was my first (and will not be my last) visit to Sushi Muramoto. It is an exceptionally clean establishment with outstanding service and quality sushi. If you are on a date or just craving well designed and delectable sushi search no further than your nearest Madison area Muramoto.

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop review

My first visit to Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop at 610 Junction Road on Madison’s far West side will more than likely be my last. Even though they have an inviting decor and keep it clean the product lacks character. I ordered their signature Italian style sandwich which was over priced by market comparison. Once served, I was immediately disappointed in the smell and quality of the sub sandwich and can only compare it to the processed smell you get when you open a package of store bought Bologna.

I am not convinced that Capriotti’s will survive in the Madison market for very long simply because Milio’s, Jimmy John’s, SUBWAY and Erbert & Gerbert’s all serve a better quality sub sandwich.

Erbert and Gerbert’s Subs and Clubs is Opening soon in Madison

Erbert & Gerbert’s Subs and Clubs will soon be opening its first Madison franchise location at 540 University Ave. It will be a stand alone store located in the old Milio’s Sandwiches location. The franchise will be re-designed to compliment the Madison area and have the unique Erbert & Gerbert atmosphere. Service will include dine-in, delivery, and catering and the most flavorful sandwiches available in the market. Expected hours will be lunch, Dinner, and selected late hours. A Grand Opening date has not been set yet but I will let you know as soon its available.

Build your own burger and brat restaurant making its debut in Middleton

Bison Jack’s, a new and innovative restaurant serving bison dogs, bratwursts and burgers, will be making its mark upon the Madison restaurant scene this October.

Bison Jack’s is an exciting concept that adds a tasty yet healthy twist to the traditional hot dog or hamburger by using bison meat. The meat at Bison Jack’s consists of top-quality Five Herds bison, which is raised on our own free range ranches.

Everything on the Bison Jack’s menu is made from premium quality ingredients. Bison meat is lean, gluten-free and low in cholesterol and sodium. The buns, which range from the Butter Top Bun to the Asiago Bun, are baked in-house.

The menu at Bison Jack’s will include Signature Dogs like the Sonoran Bison Dog and the Chicago Dog as well as create-your-own dogs, Bison Jack’s Burgers, salads and more. There are more than 30 toppings and sauces for the dogs, brats and burgers, and customers will also find popular side dishes like Cheese Curds, Baked Potato Salad and Bison Chili.

Bison Jack’s is being designed and operated by Vision 360 Design of Dallas, Texas. Shawn Horne, head of Operations Development at Vision 360 Design, will be opening and operating Bison Jack’s at Greenway Station in Middleton.

Over the past 15 years, Horne has overseen, managed and consulted for four and five-star restaurants. He is very optimistic and enthusiastic about the upcoming opening of Bison Jack’s.

“The camaraderie among the restaurant industry in Madison is inspiring,” Horne said. “The food scene is amazing and I’m looking forward to joining that scene and adding a new twist!”

The 2,500 square foot fast casual restaurant will seat 70 people and be open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bison Jack’s hours will be as follows:

Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Hello and Thank You for following my web site which has become a true labor of love for me. It has been a while since I’ve shared my reviews and news about Madison area restaurants and bars. Over the past few months I’ve been busy re-designing the look and feel of Madison Hot Bite and eating and visiting a few new and established eateries and watering holes. In the coming days I will be sharing my recent experiences with you and re-dedicating myself to bringing you the most honest and straightforward opinions and reviews of Madison area restaurants.
